Tater Tot “Hot Dish”

Casserole, hot dish, bake - it’s all the same. Ooey gooey goodness. This recipe was recommended by our friend from Minnesota (home of the “hot dish”). It’s really an anything goes recipe and hard to screw up.

  • 2 cans cream of anything soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt / pepper to taste
  • Cheese to taste
  • 1 bag of frozen veggies (like peas, carrots, corn, etc)
  • 1 lb ground meat (hamburger, turkey, sausage)
  • 1 bag tater tots
Preheat oven to 400. Cook meat on the stove (feel free to add a small onion). Mix cream of anything soups, milk, salt/pepper, cheese in a large bowl. Mix in the frozen veggies and a few tater tots (maybe 1/4 of the bag). Add in the cooked meat and pour into a 9x13 pan. Top with a layer of tater tots and some cheese. Bake until tots are golden brown.
